Thank God for Crème de la Mer
I’ve been laying down for the last 24 hours as I am typing this. I thought I’d escape it this winter, but I was wrong. I actually came down with the flu yesterday. I started feeling really woozy and weak at work and left a few hours early to make it to the doctor’s. When I got there it had gotten much worse already and the verdict was clear: cancel all appointments and call in sick.
The fever is terrible and the headache that comes along with it is even worse, but at least there is one thing that keeps my healthy skin going: my Crème de la Mer sample I got in my ELLE party goodie bag two weeks ago. I usually tend to get really bad skin when I’m ill and it takes a while for me to get it back ‘in shape’. I started using the Crème de la Mer every evening since I got the sample. You really don’t need much to cover your whole face & neck area. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you this, but.. it’s absolutely amazing! Make sure you warm up the cream between your fingers or the palms of your hands before you apply it to your face. It should be warm and liquidy. It’s absolutely amazing how hydrated my skin is, even after a whole night my face still feels sublime!
It is a very pricy cream though: about 260 euros for a 60ml jar. Would I say it’s worth the money? If you can afford it: totally! But if you need to save on other things in order to be able to buy this: don’t. There are plenty of cheaper brands that are good for your skin as well. Sure, they won’t be as amazing as Crème de la Mer, but they’ll do enough good things for your skin as well.
