Aromatic Blends

Somewhere in the beginning of summer I discovered Kiehl’s new “Aromatic Blends”, a complete line of shower gel, body lotion and body mist. My favorite scent was Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit, a very fresh and summery scent that’s all around wearable. The scent is based on ‘tranquil gardens in Japan’ and blends nashi blossom and pink grapefruit, has ginger accents and notes of soy milk and white musk. I noticed how this scent is not available in the UK, although I am not sure why. Should be available elsewhere, though!

The Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit is quite summery and compliments my body quite well. Using all three products at once really makes for the best possible experience with this line, where it’s not just a perfume you spray on but a whole feeling you indulge in. Imagine taking a shower after a day at the beach with these products and sipping cocktails in the warm evening sun. Yum! If I would’ve chosen a favorite scent today I would have gone for Fig Leaf & Sage, an amazing blend of fig leaf & sage with hints of bergamot, citron and thyme. This one is very warm (the autumn kind of warm) & soothing, and would be perfect for this time of the year when on Sundays you’re inside drinking hot tea under a blanket. 

Vanilla & Cedarwood is also already present in our bathroom cabinet as it’s a delicious woody/smoky scent which is very unisex. The body lotions are great quality and nourish the skin very well, and the scent stays for hours. All four Aromatic Blends are supposed to be unisex, however I feel that Fig Leaf & Sage and Vanilla & Cedarwood are the only scents suitable for men as well. It’s great to see these products are not just nicely scented but also do what Kiehl’s does best: take care of your skin.
