Birthday Celebrations: The Gifts

So now you all know that last week I celebrated my birthday. It was actually my birthday last Monday, but I always escape to London on my birthday so I held my party two days earlier. The first gift (my boyfriend’s!) was a spectacular framed print of a hand drawn map of London by Jenni Sparks. I’ll supply a picture when it’s up against the wall. We’ve decided on hanging it near the kitchen open space to give it the attention it deserves. In the afternoon I had lots of friends over for cake, cupcakes & pancakes. Needless to say I was quite emotional to have the majority of them over, enjoying a sweet afternoon in my apartment. Afterwards some of us went to Wim Ballieu’s pop up meatball restaurant to enjoy a proper dinner & it was just divine! Really, the very best thing in the world is spending time with your friends, your partner & family.

I was so surprised to receive all of these gifts! My friends know me so well & are so attentive. I am very thankful for all these amazing presents & can’t wait to use/view/wear all of them. Take a look:
